The subsequent performance in November 2012 in the Chapel, The Royal Hospitall Kilmainham (IMMA) featured the combined choirs of the Carlow Choral Society and The Dublin Bach Singers with their director Blánaid Murphy, widely recognised as one of Ireland's pre-eminent choral educators,. Good Works premieres new Art Hymns by Byrne, scored by Elaine Agnew.
The Kilmainham service featured guest readers; artist and academic Alberto Duman, artist Alanna O’Kelly, curator and academic Prof Declan McGonigle , writer Brian Keenan and Catriona Crowe, Head of Special Projects at the National Archives of Ireland. Also; accordionist Dermot Dunne, soloists Cian Brady and Maria Hughes. Performance Artists; Fergus Byrne and Brian Connolly. Altar Attendants Magdalena Blom, Margaret McLaughlin, Zoe Nolan, Fala Buggy and Deborah Madden
The Service is in praise of Art as the 'true' source of Salvation and Redemption. 'Good Works' is a developing project and further performances are planned for 2013. It's progression is being documented which will culminate in a new video work.
